Integral Cradles installs 300th system with completion of 1 Leadenhall Street

Integral Cradles has marked a significant company milestone with the completion of works at 1 Leadenhall Street, delivered on behalf of main contractor Multiplex, as the firm’s skilled engineers installed the 300th system since the company’s inception in 2004.

Known internally as Project ‘300’, the achievement reflects more than two decades of growth for Integral Cradles, which has established itself as one of the UK’s leading providers of façade access solutions across London’s skyline and beyond.

While the systems installed at 1 Leadenhall Street were not significant in size or capacity, they worked effectively within the tight space constraints of the building, showcasing the precision and adaptability that has underpinned Integral Cradles’ engineering approach throughout the project.

Following Practical Completion, Integral Cradles received formal thanks from Multiplex for the organisation’s support and commitment to the project over the past few years. In a letter to Kevin Walton, Managing Director at Integral Cradles, Andrew Ridley-Barker, Operations Director at Multiplex Construction Europe Ltd, praised the team’s teamwork, collaboration, determination and resolve throughout delivery of the scheme.

Multiplex first engaged Integral Cradles on the development in 2017, with the project reaching formal completion in June 2025. In their letter, Multiplex reflected on the tremendous journey travelled since the project began, noting that 1 Leadenhall Street is already a tremendous addition to the City of London skyline, with tenant fit-out now well underway ahead of occupation.

Discussing the milestone, Kevin Walton, Managing Director at Integral Cradles, said: “Reaching our 300th installed system is a proud moment for everyone at Integral Cradles, and it’s fitting that it should come on a project like 1 Leadenhall Street, delivered alongside a main contractor we’ve worked with for so many years.”

“Large, complex projects like this require real teamwork and resolve from every party involved, and it means a great deal to receive such generous feedback from Multiplex recognising that effort. I’d like to thank our engineers and the wider team for their dedication, not just on this project but across the 300 systems we’ve delivered since 2004.”

“We look forward to working with Multiplex on their next projects and continuing a relationship that has grown from strength to strength.”

The completion of 1 Leadenhall Street adds another landmark project to Integral Cradles’ growing portfolio and reinforces the strength of its long-standing partnership with Multiplex, as the company looks ahead to its next 300 systems and beyond.
