Integral Cradles and partner company GIND UK – which, together, provide whole-lifecycle façade access solutions – were proud to participate in the Canary Wharf Contractors Fund (CWCF) Dragonboat Event on 14th July 2023.
Like last year’s event, which Integral Cradles and GIND UK also took part in, this year saw teams meeting at the Docklands Watersports and Sailing Club, before racing in heats along the Thames in 30ft boats. This ancient and fascinating sport requires no previous experience and caters for all ages and abilities.
While the weather was slightly less sunny than at last year’s event, nothing could dim the spirits of the teams involved, with everyone having a great time and raising funds for some great causes.
CWCF was established 20 years ago with the objective of raising funds on behalf of local and national causes. To date, the fund has donated over £3,000,000 to causes including Demelza Children’s Hospice, London Air Ambulance, Rehab UK, St Joseph’s Hospice, Providence Row, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, Great Ormond Street, Royal London Hospital, Chickenshed, Teenage Cancer Trust, The Lighthouse Club, 21st Century Legacy and Spread-A-Smile – as well as supporting individuals with specific needs.
