Integral Cradles- Building a sustainable future for women in construction

The construction workforce is currently just 15% female, according to the Office for National Statistics – a statistic that may not come as a surprise given the industry’s historically male-dominated nature. However, times are changing, and both Integral Cradles and GIND UK are proud to be part of this transformation. We’re embracing diversity, with 25% of our management team comprised of women and half of our staff also being born outside the UK.

A rising star- Kristina Trifonova

A standout member of our team is Kristina Trifonova, one of our youngest project managers at Integral Cradles. Her rise within the company has been rapid, and she’s now managing major projects for our long-term blue-chip clients such as Lendlease and MACE. Kristina’s ability to navigate the complexities of large-scale installations and project management is proof that women are increasingly becoming key players in our industry.

Leading by example- Aldara Jara Marugan

Aldara Jara Marugan, our Maintenance Manager at GIND UK, is a great example of how women are thriving in roles that have historically been male-dominated. Working in a demanding technical role at GIND UK, Aldara oversees the maintenance of our highly complex systems. Despite the challenges of balancing work and life as a new mum, Aldara has found success through flexible working arrangements, which not only support her but also benefit the company.

Changing perceptions

The outdated perception that construction is a “man’s world” is steadily disappearing, and more women are now pursuing and succeeding in careers within the sector. At GIND UK and Integral Cradles, we are committed to fostering an environment where diversity thrives, and where talented professionals like Aldara and Kristina can grow and succeed.
