Integral Cradles is pleased to announce the successful factory testing of a bespoke Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) designed for One Exchange Square, a landmark office development in London’s Broadgate Campus.
The BMU, which will be maintained by our manufacturing partner GIND UK, boasts an impressive reach of 42.5 meters, features a moveable counterweight and weighs approximately 85 tonnes.
One Exchange Square is a 13-storey, state-of-the-art office building developed by LaSalle Investment Management, with Multiplex Construction Europe Limited serving as the main contractor. The development comprises 430,000 square feet of premium workspace and 17,000 square feet of retail space, fronting both Bishopsgate and the newly re-landscaped park at Exchange Square.
Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, the building features landscaped terraces on every floor and is targeting exemplary environmental credentials, including a BREEAM Outstanding rating, NABERS 5* and Well Platinum.
The project is 100% electric, using intelligent façade design and mechanical services twinned with building management systems to manage operational energy use.
Integral Cradles has a long-standing history of delivering engineering and safe solutions for tier-one clients. The firm has been involved in many façade access installation projects, spanning London’s iconic skyline, including The Leadenhall Building, 30 St. Mary’s Axe, One Blackfriars Tower and 52 Lime Street, famously known as The Scalpel.
