Building details:
Another successful chapter to add to the volume of projects delivered for Tier 1 contractors. MACE Ltd is contracted by Greystar’s student accommodation brand Chapter to deliver a brand-new, one-of-a-kind student accommodation in London, located in the heart of the city right next to the iconic Shard. This building, to be completed by December 2025, allows unlimited access to first-class amenities. From a skyline-view Sky Bar to a state-of-the-art gym and immersive cinema, Chapter London Bridge redefines student accommodation with luxury amenities.
Equipment supplied:
Integral Cradles designed and installed a sophisticated parallelogram BMU with 23m reach and 1,000kg auxiliary winch for Chapter, London Bridge, traversing on 23m twin tracks.
Difficulty overcome:
The project presented complex challenges including severely limited roof space requiring the BMU to be parked adjacent to a lift overrun, overcome through meticulous model-first design to avoid building clashes. Our engineering team also developed a bespoke ski system to guide the cradle seamlessly across the building’s irregular façade, ensuring complete access coverage.
