Hawley Wharf (Camden Lock Village)
Project status: Integral Cradles completed installation works in 2018
Project
Camden Lock Village is a mixed-use development made up of nearly 200 new residential units. It’s been developed by Camden Market Holdings and managed by Gravity Co-living. The development is located close to Camden Lock Market. Camden Town and Camden Road stations are an easy walk away, providing tube and Overground links into Central London.
In addition to 195 residential units, the village will feature eight new buildings between three and nine storeys in height, housing a new canal-side market, cafes and restaurants, a cinema, a food quarter and commercial space. They will be integrated into the neighbourhood via several new pedestrian routes and open air public spaces.
Integral Cradles was appointed to deliver safe access to all eight buildings’ roofs. Its specialist team provided 44 safety lines with a combined length of just under one mile, 135 abseil points, two access ladders, 70 metres of roof walkways and two 500kg material lifting jibs.
Integral Cradles engaged in early design coordination to ensure all solutions were suitable to work with the different roof finishes.
