UCH2 is a major building for University Campus Hastings, a satellite campus of the University of Brighton. It was a partial new build and refurbishment of an existing building doubling the teaching capacity to 1,000 students.
As well as developing the University’s presence in the town, the building also represents a significant new element in the on-going physical and economic regeneration of Hastings town centre.
We received an instruction to provide a trackless BMU, guided around the roof by a 48m long guide rail around three sides of the roof.
The BMU has a max three-metre reach, complete with hydraulic luffing.
The budget BMU was delivered to the agreed programme and the satisfaction of this key local client.
