Woolgate Exchange
Current Status: Project complete, under maintenance with GIND UK
Building details:
Woolgate Exchange is a nine-storey building designed by architecture practice Stiff + Trevillion. The building’s 1,500 sq ft rooftop pavilion offers unique views of St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Square Mile’s tall building cluster.
The renovated building features over 20,000 sq ft of total external terrace amenity, providing urban greening, biodiversity, and generous outdoor space on the majority of upper floors
Project:
Working on behalf of MACE, Integral Cradles successfully delivered a comprehensive access solution for the Woolgate Exchange building in the City of London. The project featured a powered gantry on twin track system with powered cradle, alongside 84 abseil davit bases with 12 abseil davits, 2 abseil rails, and 36 safety harness eyebolts.
Challenges overcome:
Our design team overcame significant structural challenges by accounting for variations in under-slab steel beams, developing bespoke through-slab support steel for the davit bases.
