Integral Cradles is a finalist in the Tomorrow’s FM Awards 2023

Integral Cradles and partner company GIND UK are delighted to announce they are finalists in the Tomorrow’s FM Awards 2023.

Managing Director Kevin Walton was informed that the standard of entries this year has been exceptionally high, making the shortlisting of finalists more difficult than ever. The entry made by Integral Cradles and GIND UK focused on the companies’ work at 52 Lime Street in London (The Scalpel), where their engineers two of the largest building maintenance units (BMU) of their kind at that time.

Working collaboratively with the architects, developers and main contractor, Integral Cradles designed and constructed an innovative roofing system for the total concealment of the units within the building.

As an extra design feature, the east BMU was designed with a roof panel comprising photovoltaic cells, which move and slide in tandem with the unit’s operation. The cells provide renewable energy for the building, a valuable extra benefit of the system.

As a result of the success of the BMUs, a fully comprehensive warranty agreement was reached between CBRE and GIND UK. This sees engineers servicing and testing the installed access equipment in accordance with the statute and recommendations of the manufacturer.

The Top 10 winners will be announced in the April 2023 of Tomorrow’s FM.
