Integral Cradles, one of the industry’s leading access equipment installation specialists, has completed a project at the redevelopment of London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre.
The works, which took place at the Olympia’s Emberton House and G Gate, comprised of a manual gantry installation, which was then tested to LOLER certifications, and a BMU track.
Discussing the project, Integral Cradles managing director Kevin Walton said:
“We’re pleased to have successfully delivered installation and testing works at the redeveloped London Olympia. During the manual gantry installation, our team carefully managed the low headroom requirements and sloped atrium glazed roof to ensure the works were carried out safely and without comprising the building.
Kevin added: “This was a complex work scope that was delivered seamlessly by the team, much to the satisfaction of our client Laing O’Rourke. Well done to everyone involved.”
Olympia London is Central London’s only major exhibition centre and has a tremendous 130-year history as one of the world’s leading exhibition, entertainment and cultural centres.
The work to create Future Olympia is being delivered by Laing O’Rourke and includes the redevelopment of the existing listed exhibition halls – the Grand Hall and the National Hall – and the creation of new offices, a four-screen cinema, a 4,000-seat music venue, a 1,500-seat theatre, two new hotels, new retail outlets and public realm space.
